There are 38 towers in TDS, 5 of which are exclusive. Almost all towers are gem-based, except for the Engineer and Hacker. I've completed the hardcore mode of the New Year's event (message me for screenshots, I'll send you everything). I have a huge pile of skins, including exclusive ones from both Battle Passes. I bought a VIP pass and completed many missions for Fallen skins.
